We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the development and delivery of a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution aimed at optimizing the scheduling and staffing of a fleet of research vessels.

The project is being developed for a U.S.-based organization focused on oceanic and atmospheric research. The system is built specifically for this organization, using an existing solution as a foundation. The initiative started in September and is now completing the MVP phase, which ran for six months and successfully won a public tender.

Please note: This role requires the ability to complete onboarding in the Netherlands (fully covered by the company) and an active U.S. visa.

REQUIREMENTS

We're looking for a Senior Project Manager who has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred);
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (MUST);
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on software development projects;
  • Proven success in managing large-scale SaaS implementations;
  • Experience working with Business analysis tasks, including requirements gathering and managing project scope'
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Advanced English level;
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities;
  • Proficiency with project management tools and software;
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Project Manager, you will:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and milestones;
  • Lead project kickoff meetings, weekly progress meetings, and stakeholder reviews;
  • Coordinate closely with technical teams, end-user training leads, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment;
  • Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues;
  • Oversee adherence to quality standards, compliance requirements, and documentation;
  • Prepare detailed monthly status reports and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Ensure seamless transition and integration from existing legacy systems to new solutions;
  • Manage project resources, and subcontractor engagements effectively;
  • Foster strong relationships with NOAA, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
